#41 ‘Butterflies everywhere’

Hi girls,

So last week I teamed up with local shoe store Bastiaansmode Maastricht & footwear brand AGL (Attilio Giusti Leombruni). The first minute I saw the new collection of AGL, I fell completely in love! Especially the butterfly collection is a must-see and of course a must-have. I did not really like butterflies before because it reminded me of my childhood when butterflies were very trendy (but in a childish way). But when I saw the butterflies stitched on this beautiful sneakers, for me it felt like a loving comeback of the butterfly!

But what is so special about these shoes? Besides the fact it is Italian (everything Italian sounds always nice to my ears). Last year when I was in Rome, I was thinking of taking Italian courses to learn the language. My boyfriend and my friends were laughing at me when I told them, because every week there is something new I want to learn. But yeah, free time is the problem.
So let’s not get distracted and back to the sneakers and what’s so special about it. Simplicity and sophistication are embodied in this creation from AGL’s own Italian workshop. That’s something I really like, footwear that is made in Europe always gets my vote.
A minimalist and discrete style reveals an unexpected detail: a beaded butterfly, hand-sewn onto a velour insert on the heel, embellishes the velour sneaker with grosgrain laces, perfect for a sporty-chic look. And that’s the way I like it!
